Microneedling
Microneedling is performed by a licensed technician using an FDA-approved device, is a cosmetic procedure also known as collagen induction therapy. It involves puncturing the skin with small, sterile needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping the skin heal and appear younger. By penetrating deep into the dermis, microneedling prompts a healing response.
The benefits include reducing fine lines, pigmentation issues, acne scars, enlarged pores, and loose skin. It enhances collagen and elastin formation and increases hydration, resulting in plump and fresh skin tissues, especially where depression scarring has occurred. Microneedling is effective for photoaged skin, improving elasticity, melasma, and discoloration, leading to noticeable skin rejuvenation.
The main downside is increased sun sensitivity during healing, with significant redness for about 48 hours post-treatment. We recommend three to four treatments spaced six weeks apart to maximize collagen production and skin rejuvenation.
Microneedling offers profound benefits with minimal downtime, making it an excellent option for enhancing your skin’s appearance non-invasively.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Prices
Price Varies – Contact us below for more information.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is an innovative hair loss solution that tattoos pigment into the scalp to replicate the appearance of hair follicles. This technique gives the illusion of hair by tattooing tiny particles of pigment into the scalp, mimicking natural hair growth. Producing the desired result typically requires three sessions, as the human body often attacks the pigment, necessitating multiple applications for a stable outcome. After each SMP session, the pigment stabilizes, transitioning from liquid to solid. Sessions are spaced 10 to 30 days apart to allow the scalp to heal fully before the next session.
Each SMP session lasts approximately 3 to 5 hours, depending on the extent of hair loss. Additional sessions might be required for scars and other skin conditions. Technicians can create a layering effect using different pigment shades and needle sizes. This approach adds shade and texture, enhancing the illusion of hair. Men can also use SMP to simulate a fuller beard.
This hair loss solution is suitable for both men and women, providing a versatile and effective option for those seeking to improve their appearance and regain confidence. SMP offers a non-invasive, long-lasting solution that caters to various needs and aesthetic goals.
Microdermabrasion
$175.00 per session and discounts on purchases of 3 sessions at one time.
Microdermabrasion
What is microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure that treats the surface of the skin to increase circulation and remove dead and dull skin cells. Microdermabrasion is used to reduce the appearance of pore size, age spots, acne scars, stretch marks, and fine lines and wrinkles.
What is the difference between a microneedling vs microdermabrasion procedure?
A microneedling procedure creates micro-injuries (aka tiny holes) in the skin which stimulates the body’s wound-healing process and produces collagen. Collagen naturally occurs and skin is plumped and youthful. Increasing the production of collagen improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles by smoothing them out and making them firmer.
Microdermabrasion procedure is considered non-invasive and treatment sessions lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. The skin is treated with ablative material and a mechanical device which scrubs off dead skin cells from the skin’s surface and promotes circulation.
Microneedling vs. Microdermabrasion Benefits
There are a few more added benefits with microneedling such as it can treat more areas of the body, including the face, scalp, hands, and body whereas microdermabrasion is limited to the face and body. Since microneedling is minimally invasive, results are longer-lasting than microdermabrasion results.
Both treatments can treat acne scars, uneven skin tone, and fine lines and wrinkles. Microneedling can also help treat skin conditions like burn scars, alopecia, stretch marks, and hyperhidrosis (sweating too much). Microdermabrasion can help treat age spots and dull complexions and requires little downtime.
Aftercare for each treatment
Microneedling and microdermabrasion aftercare are fairly similar. Skin may be sensitive for a few days following each procedure. You should avoid sun exposure for the first 24 hours. It’s also important to avoid wearing makeup or sweating for the first 24 hours as this can irritate the skin. And hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Common side effects include a feeling of tightness, redness, and swelling, which disappear after a few days. Avoid scratching the treated area, tanning and hot baths for at least one week and strenuous physical activity for 24 hours.
